We were surprised this year to receive cabinets of 50 with bands on the cigars. Until now all cabinets of 50 and most of slb cabinets of 25 Cuban cigars came without bands. The batch concerned is from Feb 2004 till now. Here are a few items that we received: Punch Double Coronas 50, Saint Luis Rey Double Coronas, Bolivar Petit Coronas 50, Upmann Magnum 46, Upmann Connoisseur No.1, Rey Del Munco Choix Supreme 50, etc.. For the first time, the launching of a new cuban cigar has been done outside Cuba. During the annual meeting in Cannes, France Habanos has launched the new Cohiba Siglo VI for the occasion of Linea 1492 aniversario. The new cuban cigar is a new shape which has never been produced before.
It's called EL CANONAZO 52 ring gauge and 15 cm (almost 6 inches) length featuring a special ring for the 10th aniversary of the linea 1492. This cuban cigar will be produced in 2003 and will be available in the markets soon. |

Fake Limitadas: some counterfeit limitada are circulating in the market. We have seen some Claro Montecristo Robusto, Some Partagas D3 with the ring Partagas and not the red ring like the one of Partagas D4 or even a beautiful wrapper but absolutely no taste at all. Some of the Cohiba EL wrappers were stolen from factories and boxes were filled in Mexico and Russia. These cigars are fakes and they are being sold in the European markets. Be careful when buying online. Make sure of the source of your cigars. Reputable shops can be found in the UK, Germany, France and Switzerland. The price is approx. 700$ in France, Germany and the UK and 500$ in Switzerland. |
